Atomic Reader

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

Atomic Reader is an RSS reader for iPhone and Mac. It does not collect, store, or share your personal information on any server of ours. We run no analytics, advertising, or tracking.

What stays on your device

Your feeds, categories, articles, read and saved state, ignore terms, and settings (such as text sizes) are stored on your device.

iCloud sync

If you are signed into iCloud, your library syncs between your devices through your own private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit. It is stored in your iCloud account and we cannot see it. Text sizes and other display settings are kept on each device and are not synced. If you are not signed into iCloud, the app still works and keeps everything on that device.

Connections the app makes

To show your feeds, the app connects directly to the feed addresses you add and to the web pages of the articles you open. Those sites can see ordinary connection details, such as your IP address, just as they would in any web browser. If a feed needs you to sign in, the sign-in cookies are kept on your device for that feed only.

Information from Apple

If you install through TestFlight or the App Store and choose to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. We do not receive anything that identifies you.

Children

Atomic Reader does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
